How can we make the library a welcoming space? What would encourage people to enter the library? What makes you feel safe and welcomed?

Lounge Seating in the Great Hall

The Great Hall should be a destination, not just a way to get to other areas of the library. Keep -- and add more -- lounge seating and cafe tables. Add a cafe or self-serve coffee machines to the ground floor of MLK to create more of a community gathering space.

A space that invites interactivity

I want something big and visual that invites customers to physically interact with the space. I love the Transformation Lab that Aarhus Library ran to help them design their new library building (see video), and I think we could use that model in an ongoing way.
